Foreign Languages at St Breock Primary School

At St Breock Primary School, our aim is to instil and foster pupils' curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world beyond the United Kingdom. Through an interactive and engaging curriculum, French is taught in all classes in Key Stage 2. The children are taught the skills of early language comprehension (listening and reading) and language production (speaking and writing).They learn initial phonics, grammar and vocabulary all through a wide range of topics, songs and rhymes. Throughout their learning, children also develop their cultural awareness of France and the French-speaking world, opening up their knowledge and experiences of other cultures.
